A Quick Note
In some feedback, some teachers have said the Story Ballet lesson plans are too serious for their students. If you teach ballet in a recreational studio setting rather than a studio with a ballet focus, our Original OUB Curriculum may be a better fit for you. Continue with our Primary Ballet level through age 7. Then for your 8 year olds, use the Ballet 1 level from the Original OUB Curriculum in place Ballet 1A or 1B levels from the Story Ballet Curriculum. Then give the Story Ballet Curriculum a try when your students are 9 years old—starting with either the Ballet 1B or Ballet 2 level.

Story Ballet-Themed Class Activities + History Sheets
The following are the story ballet themes for this curriculum. We’ve separated out the themes so that they can be done in any order during your school year. The lesson plans (see below the themes) should be done in order. But they may be paired with any story ballet theme.
